This poem tracks physical forms of Grief and other emotional animals around the Appalachian woods I grew up in. Initially instigated by the death of my childhood neighbor and friend, the descriptions of Grief are interrupted by brief memories of him.

The poem aims toward mythology and to explore landscapes across the page. The poem uses white space to score the emotional landscape of Grief while Grief and other emotional animals explore the physical landscape of home.
