all of the light of all of our selves, all at once explores love through gleams, television screens and limbs. a couple’s relationship splits into fragments, all while the world’s seams loosen at their feet. grappling with an unsteady reality, their bodies react, recoil and adjust. the arms overstretch, the mind wanders from its husk. but the light always binds the two together.

while navigating grief, the relationship evolves in an otherworldly manner. birds rain gifts from the sky, and the ocean pours from their mouths. anything is possible. all of the light of all of our selves, all at once, offers a window into an abstract and mystical universe that stays just grounded enough to portray the often overlooked facets of what it really means to be in love.

sarah borror is a half-Korean cheese enthusiast from Northeast Ohio. She received her BA in creative writing from Baldwin Wallace University in 2013, and has since spent her years as a lover, patient care coordinator, caregiver and most recently, a ghost. Her work has appeared in Silent Auctions, New Note Poetry, Lines + Stars, Random Sample and elsewhere. all of the light of all of our selves, all at once is her first chapbook.
