The final word Orpheus hears before Eurydice is pulled back into the dark depths of the Underworld. His love is now gone forever. Orpheus didn't wait until Eurydice had passed the threshold out of the Underworld. He had turned too soon!
But Orpheus doesn't stop there!
He defies Hades, the god of the Underworld, and attempts to steal Eurydice away without Hades knowing. Orpheus fails and he is cursed with immortal life and must live without Eurydice. Eurydice is returned to the human world every hundred years but doesn't remember who she or Orpheus is. Orpheus has three months to convince Eurydice to say "I Love You" to break the curse forever or he is doomed to wait for his love to return in another hundred years.
