Since 2000 he has been a producer and author of documentaries, TV reports, and socially committed commercials. \u003cbr\u003eGrubić's project for the Venice Biennale, \u003ci\u003eTraces of Disappearing in Three Acts\u003c\/i\u003e (2006–19), is already thirteen years in the making. It consists of three interrelated photo essays and an animated film, set in a specially designed mise-en-scène. The project began in 2006 when the artist began documenting the transition Croatia was facing after the war, with a particular focus on the shift from socialism to capitalism, from a central, stated-planned system to a free market economy. It explores how this has affected changes in habitation, the urban fabric, public space, and social relations.
